The theme this year is “Jump into Action”, thinking about outreach and mission with Lucy Moore (founder of Messy Church) as the main session speaker. Ranan, a local band, will be leading the worship time. Jump Conference 2017 is all about encouraging, equipping and inspiring those who are involved in raising children in the Christian faith. Tickets are available and cost £20 for the whole day of worship, teaching and workshops. All refreshments and lunch are included in the price. WfM @ Bon Accord: WfM stands for Women for Mission and consists of women in the Free Church all across Scotland who work in this country to raise awareness of Free Church mission and to raise money for particular projects. Anne MacDonald in our congregation is on the committee. They also run the away day every second year.

Every year there is a new project and, in Bon Accord, we have always had an event to raise money for the project. This year, as we don't have a venue, we have decided to take a collection over the first three weeks in March (5, 12 and 19 March) for the project "Encouraging Education".

“Encouraging Education” is raising money for three separate countries:

Dumisani Theological Institute in South Africa - to contribute to a bursary fund for poor students. The cost per student for a bursary is £200 per year.

Colegio San Andres in Peru - to support the work of Catriona Macdonald who is an English teacher in the school and for other school projects.

Mission International in Kenya - for a classroom and equipment to help more children get a secondary education.

More details of the project are available on the Free Church web page:

    https://freechurch.org/missions/women-for-mission/

Money can be put in an envelope and left at the door or handed to those on Door Duty. Please mark the envelope WfM project. We will also have some fabric soft balls for sale made by Margaret Smith. Small balls are £2, medium £3 and large £4.
